MEET JULIE
Julie O’Connor
Founder of City Indian Girls
Julie graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA. in 1993. However, after becoming a mom she made a personal choice to do just that, and her dream of having a fashion career took a back seat. As life took its course, in 2009 she began medical school to become an Eastern Medicine doctor. This was on track as planned, but after receiving the life-changing experience of being diagnosed with breast cancer - her perspective of life changed. Only one year before she graduated from medical school, she decided to pursue her true dream to be in the fashion world. With the unconditional love and support of her husband, they decided to start Bravery and Company, Inc. What started out as a custom handbag company quickly began to reveal its purpose as a company with an inspirational focus; intent on making a difference by helping others tell their story and find the beauty we all possess inside. The handbags she creates all come with a story meant to inspire and carry with it a story that lasts a lifetime. Her mission to give back to people in need; the Native American community, underserved women and children, refugees, homeless and our brave military veterans.

We bring you thoughtfully created materials and educational programs that help make a difference toward achieving strong character and positive mental health. Our shop is comprised of educational books and supplies that promote character development and growth. Each item was made to include timeless and relevant values for readers of all cultures and backgrounds. We also have a long list of books scheduled for future release to add to our continuously growing library.
